Here is a list of events, details, and announcements as recently discussed at the business meeting. Please plan for them in your schedule!

Announcements:

Wood County Fair Duty:

Saturday, August 2 from 0800 until midnight at the main gate station. Please plan to attend parts of the day. Sign-up on the bulletin board. If IDs are completed wear them in addition to your CJFD T-shirt. Bring your gear.

We will also be taking tickets for the concert on Saturday night and need additional people for that duty. It does/may result in us getting a small stipend for theAssociation so please sign up for that also.

Friday, August 1- Wood County Fair- Please sign -up for working at the Liberty Twp. Civic Center Food Booth at the Fair. We need people for all shifts. Shifts are 4 hours.

Plain Twp. Live Fire Training Burn on Hull Prairie Road- Saturday, July 26th @ 0800. More information  to follow at training night.

• Portage Quarry- there are still available days to sign-up for events at the Quarry. Please see FF Scott Ball for further details.

• NIMS- National Incident Management System Class- if you need NIMS 700 and 800 please see AC Lee ASAP.  This is a required course of study for all FF.

Events:

Saturday August 9, from 0800 until about 1300.1st Golf outing to benefit the American Heart Association and for our Scholarships. See AC Lee for volunteering or playing. Please try to obtain door prizes. Location: Birch Run Golf Course, North Baltimore.

Kickball- Saturday August 9- see the bulleting Board to sign up- teams has to be co-ed. All are welcomed. Those working the golf event, this will be scheduled for 3:00 or so- after our event.

September 6th- CJFD Picnic- more information to follow

Fire Prevention Days at Elmwood School Facility= Monday and Tuesday, September 29 and 30. Our Department is scheduled for  Tuesday, the 30th from 0900  until 1500. you may come for 1/2  of the day to participate. All help is appreciated.

NIMS- ICS 300 and 400 Training-Saturday October, 25th-all day and Saturday, November 1 all day. All officers are required to be in attendance.

Drill Night- All drills start at 1900 hours. Please be prompt. Officers meeting preceding FF Association meeting at 1900 hours 2nd Tuesday of the month

Do you need CPR Recert or to be initially certified?

You must  complete a "request for training form"

CPR- Certified instructors are: Bob Fyfe, Sue Gavron; Lisa Giesige. FF/Paramedic Bob Fyfe is the Coordinator for CPR.
